Greenville County man charged after shooting neighbor twice, deputies say
A Greenville County man was arrested after he allegedly shot his neighbor twice on Thursday evening.
At 7:15 p.m., Greenville County Communications received a 911 call regarding a shooting that occurred at a home on Jordan Road near Fews Chapel Road in Greer.
According to arrest warrants, 26-year-old Jesse Donovan Edgar went to his neighbor's home with a gun, and without provocation, shot his neighbor once in the stomach and once in the back.
Deputies said Edgar was not allowed on his neighbor's property after he was placed on a trespassing notice in May last year.
According to authorities, the victim was transported to the hospital, where he is expected to make a full recovery.
Edgar was charged with the following:
- Attempted murder
- Possession of a weapon during a violent crime
- Trespassing
Edgar was booked into the Greenville County Detention Center.
