Red Nose Day 2025 host Rylan Clark, who gained fame on the X Factor back in 2012, has shared an insight into his dating history whilst discussing his bedroom antics with his mother Linda Clark.

On Thursday, March 20, Rylan’s mother appeared on his YouTube series, Air Rylan, which is sponsored by Jet 2 holidays. In the past he has hosted guests like the One Show’s Alex Jones, Ruth Langsford and influencer and I’m a Celebrity star GK Barry.

The pair started discussing the presenter’s love life, as his mother alluded that he had been on a date the night before. To which he said, “Have you got people watching me or something?” and his mother,71, replied: “No, why would I do that?” For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter

The 36-year-old later admitted that he had his mother tracked, after an unfortunate incident when his mother turned up at his house. He said: “I told you categorically that day, don’t come round tomorrow morning I’m not there, and what did you do?”

He said that his mother had turned up despite his deterrence, leaving the presenter shocked as he was not only in the house but he had company in bed with him. Linda responded: “Oh well don’t matter.”

He added: “Well it does matter because I was in bed with someone and I heard Rossss.”

They discussed several other funny stories including the time that Rylan’s mother ended up in hospital on holiday and how a fall with an ice cream ended up costing 120 grand.

Rylan joked: “When you fell you were more bothered about the ice cream and that resulted in a medical jet and three surgeries. I mean it was a lovely hospital.”

The presenter's fans loved the episode and were demanding more content from him and his mother. One fan commented on the video: “We need a Rylan Linda reality show, you 2 are always hilarious”.

Another added: “I cannot tell you how much i respect rylan. Such a funny, intelligent human. Just when i thought i couldnt adore him more, he started doing content with his mum. The perfect duo”

Fans of the presenter may already recognise Linda, or well recognise her voice at least, from Rylan’s BBC Radio 2 show on a Saturday afternoon. In the show he has a segment with his mother, who is very popular with listeners. So popular in fact when Rylan had time off recently, Paddy McGuiness, the stand-in host, still gave Linda a quick call. The segment sees Rylan giving his mother a ring to find out what she’s been up to that week, and what her weekend plans are.

Rylan is set to be hosting Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day on BBC One for the first time on Friday, March 21 and is sure to bring his iconic humour and Essex charm with him, and hopefully his mother too by the looks of things.
