CSI style mystery grips school as young detectives crack science crime case
Students at Trinity School ditched the textbooks to solve a forensic mystery using real science skills

Young detectives at Trinity School in Teignmouth swapped their textbooks for magnifying glasses last week as they took part in an interactive CSI-style investigation in celebration of British Science Week.
Pupils from Years 7 and 8 transformed into forensic scientists, delving into the world of crime scene investigation to analyse evidence, decipher clues, and solve a fictional mystery. The hands-on experience allowed students to apply their scientific knowledge to a real-world scenario, reinforcing the importance of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
British Science Week, an annual ten-day event celebrating science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM), provided the perfect backdrop for the immersive activity. Designed to engage young minds with the wonders of science, the nationwide initiative encourages curiosity and innovation through workshops, experiments, and special events.
