The University of Guam Lady Tritons volleyball team was upset in the semi-finals of the Lady Triton Volleyball League playoffs on Monday night as they lost to the Lady Bombers, 3-1, in the most emotional game the Triton League has seen in its three seasons, according to UOG Triton Athletics and Field House.

Au Mana, meanwhile, reached their third straight finals with a 3-0 win over Guam Pro 2 in the other semi-final match in the UOG Calvo Field House.

In the nightcap on Monday, the then undefeated Lady Tritons started the match well against the Lady Bombers, winning a competitive first set, 25-22.

But the Lady Bombers would come right back and rout the Lady Tritons in the second set, 25-15, to let the Tritons know they had a real match on their hands.

In the third set, the Bombers won again in a good battle, 25-20, and then won the fourth set in the best set of the night, 25-23, to send the Tritons to the 3rd place match on Wednesday night and the Lady Bombers to face Au Mana in the championship match.

With the win, the Lady Bombers are 5-3 on the season, while the Lady Tritons fell to 6-1.
