Logo of the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Albania/ Karkini: A Symbol of Freedom and Independence

The winning author of the national logo for the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Albania, Erjona Karkini, has explained the essence and inspiration behind the creation of this unique emblem. Describing its constituent elements, she has shared with the public her motivation for their selection. The logo, which includes the Monument "Mother Albania," aims to represent freedom and independence, using various symbols to convey this spirit.

Erjona Karkini, an architect and co-founder of a startup in the field of design and marketing, has revealed that the idea for the logo came naturally, as this year marks the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Albania. She describes how the Albanian flag takes on a scenic presence when waving, bringing to life the feeling of independence. This idea was expressed in the form of a ribbon forming the number "80," to describe the joy of the achieved freedom.

The chosen logo represents an important part of Albania's history and has been declared a symbol to accompany the official activities and protocol letters of State Central Institutions in the year 2024. The selection of this logo followed a selection process in which many proposals from young people interested in contributing were considered.

During the selection process, 64 projects competed fairly, fulfilling all necessary criteria. Karkini's logo was valued as the most dignified representation of the image of the International Year of the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Albania. This is a significant achievement for Erjona and for all those who participated in this competitive process.
