Has Mainstream Media Damaged America's Self Esteem?

Country Star Michael Shawn Hartman Releases New Merchandise Line "Faith, Freedom, Country" to Help Repair America's National Self-Esteem.

When people and the media constantly bully or put down our country and our president, it affects our Nation's self-esteem. We need to stop that.”
— Michael Shawn Hartman

MALIBU, CALIFORNIA, USA, September 19, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Does a nation have a national identity, with a self-esteem that can be damaged? Country star Michael Shawn Hartman thinks so. The singer has just released a new line of t-shirts promoting his upcoming new single, "We Are Americans," and as a tribute to "Faith, Freedom, Country," also the name of his new fan club and organization promoting good values in entertainment--particularly country music. With the new wave of so-called 'modern country' music that often talks about cheating, womanizing, and drinking to excess, Michael Shawn Hartman states that he feels it important to take a better approach--singing about and promoting good values to listeners, and giving them a more positive message to help lift them and our country up. He also has another agenda, which he further explains.

The word 'country' in the slogan and new organization, the singer mentions, refers to both country music, and also, to America at large. Michael Shawn Hartman states, "It has become too trendy in the media and America to be down on our President, and down on our country." The singer adds, "I don't care who you voted for--Trump is our President. Show him some respect! And this our your country--show some respect for the country you live in! Michael Shawn Hartman argues that when the mainstream media and certain Americans constantly put down America and the U.S. President, that it weakens America to the rest of the world at to America's enemies. "Everyone knows that individual self esteem is important," Michael states, "but so is National Self-Esteem. When people and the media constantly bully or put down our country and our president, it affects our Nation's self-esteem, which damages us in the eyes of the world, and gives our enemies the upper hand, giving them psychological ammunition to target us with. We need to stop that. 'Faith, Freedom, Country' is about just that, and re-instilling pride in our country and the things that we have in common across all political divides--that makes us great."

Fans can order the merchandise, which are designed particularly as a salute to America, freedom of religion, and country music, by visiting the official Michael Shawn Hartman site found at the link here below.

About Michael Shawn Hartman:

While other classmates were busy collecting spiders and baseball cards, a young Michael Shawn was busy jamming. The Singer Songwriter, and Musician, who Hollywood Sentinel hails as "The next Johnny Cash," began playing guitar at the young age of nine years old. A second generation guitar player, music and a guitar was literally handed down to the young, future performer, growing up with his mother--also a singer and songwriter-- performing on stage. With a guitar always in the corner, his older brother, who also played guitar, would tell him to pick up the instrument, and teach him how to play. "You'll know you get it right," his older brother told him, "When all of your fingers are bleeding!"

Having learned how to play five-hundred songs in the band "Step In Country," Michael was later invited to play a benefit concert back in 2010, and by this time had written sixty-five songs of his own. He later called up his old bass player, and the rest is history. Living just an hour drive from Niagara Falls, Michael Shawn was raised in the country-- and raised on country. Citing greats including; Elvis, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, George Strait, Dolly Parton, and Merle Haggard among some of his favorite singers and influences, Michael Shawn's roots go deep, and one can hear his genuine soul and power in each song.

Constantly perfecting his craft, Michael Shawn Hartman recently started honing his talent yet again, now working with celebrity vocal coach Peisha McPhee, who was the Official Vocal Coach for "American Idol," and who trained her now famous daughter; singer and actress Katharine McPhee, who performed for the White House during the last administration.

When asked what his life philosophy is, Michael admits, "My philosophy is don't take advantage of people, and be comfortable with everything around me. I try be the fairest I can to everybody." He adds, "Country music makes me happy when I hear it. It makes me feel good. I want to do the same for people. I want to make people happy and feel good with my music," and he adds, "Appreciate this great country you live in!"

Michael Shawn Hartman is now working on a new single titled "We Are American's," as well as a music video for the new song. For press, media interviews and booking requests, contact Hollywood Sentinel Public Relations at 310-226-7176.
